Field hockey is still a niche sport. The boys team from Hannover, Germany joined a match vs. a boys team from Berlin. I followed the Hannover team preparing for the match. The first picture shows the team warming up – one can clearly see the focus and the will to win in the face of the players – nevertheless there are different levels of it. The second picture shows the team joining just before the match kicked off. I chose the third picture to highlight the level of fight for the ball during the tight match. It illustrates the dynamic of this sport and the will to win. After the match was won by the Berlin the two goal keepers of the Hannover team united to encourage each other and digest the lost match. Finally the team demonstrated fairness and being a strong loser during the medal ceremony. All pictures were taken with a Canon EOS3 SLR and the Canon EF 80-200 L lens on Fujifilm Superia 400 C41 film.
